At Wally and Whiz, we have reinvented the classic fruit gum and created our own Danish fruit gum. A fruit gum that is made with love and passion. A fruit gum of the highest quality. A fruit gum that impresses with the taste of its natural ingredients. We always combine two complementary flavours in our fruit gum to create unique taste experiences. On our never-ending search for new and exciting flavours, we constantly reinvent the traditional fruit gum.
The dream of one
Wally and Whiz emerged from the dream of making real fruit gummies. It all started in the kitchen of an apartment in Østerbro, Copenhagen – at home with our founder, Kristian Them Hansen.
Kristian has always enjoyed eating fruit gum Often he has snacked gummy bears. He knew the individual flavours, but could not taste them properly.
Genuine fruit gum
And one day he came to the idea that it would have to be possible to make a fruit gum that tasted like right fruits and did not contain countless additives. He wanted to make the best fruit gum in the world with the best possible ingredients.
A bottle of blackcurrant juice, a bag of vegan starch, and some citric acid from the local supermarket were the first things to come in Kristian’s pots. Like a wizard, he stood behind the big pots. He tested and discarded ingredients to create the fruit gum he dreamed of.
